The site is a part of hot spring area on a mountainside. There is abundant green in the surrounding area, and big waterfall on the mountain top. Landscape design here is to make a medium between inside of the new architecture and outside, surrounding natural area. The relationship between function of each room in the architecture and surroundings varies by each location. We proposed several themes for the change, and proposed many gardens by the theme. Those gardens would provide many beautiful scenes for visitors through a year. The gardens called "星の河"(Milky Way) is an abstract representation of water flow from the big waterfall to ocean and transience of water, where visitors can feel and interact with the nature.
